Every day we make thousands of decisions. Most of them aren’t all that important. But some are. Some decisions are literally about life and death. What help does Christianity provide for people in making decisions? Pastor Luke looks at Matthew 12:14–21 in “Humility,” part 7 of his 10-part series “Responses to the Messiah.”

Humility – Part 4 of “What’s Good”

God wants us to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with him. Why? Why is it so important to God that we relate to him in humble fashion? It might seem like God was insecure or prideful. But the real problem becomes clear when you look at the reverse: if you look at someone who doesn’t walk humbly with God. Pastor Luke looks at Luke 18 in “Humility,” the concluding message in his series “What’s Good.”

What’s Good Part 1

Someone considering whether to become a follower of Jesus naturally ask the question, “How much?” Are there limits to what Jesus can demand of his followers? What is someone’s potential exposure? The prophet Micah described a courtroom drama where God and Israel debate whether they’ve lived up to the terms of their relationship. What are those and what do they tell us today when we’re thinking about following Jesus? Pastor Luke teaches from Micah 6 in “What’s Good,” the first message in a new series “What’s Good.”

Series: What’s Good?

What does God want from us? Does God want us to go to church, or tithe or income, to break some habit, or maybe to quit hanging around with certain kinds of people? Nearly three thousand years ago, the prophet Micah said what God wants. The answer might surprise you. (The series begins on February 2, 2014 and runs for 4 messages.)
